LATIN BROADBAND

Where we come from.

- Our group, first established as Biógrafo SRL, starts activities in the Cable TV industry back in 1987, purchasing used equipment in the US, importing it to Argentina, performing the necessary repair, selling it and supporting the final user with installation, network fire up, training, and full supply of parts and components anywhere in Latin America.

- Back then, the technology widely applied in this area of the world was the tree and branch type of distribution, with bandwidths starting from 220 up to 330 Mhz, considered at that moment the real high capacity and “future proof” installation.

- We repaired, sold, installed and supported large quantities of equipment all over Latin America from 1987 up to the beginning of 1991, when the market start a movement for a new, really modern type of technology.

- After some time of negotiations, Biógrafo became the exclusive representative for Texscan initially only in Argentina and later for the whole southern cone.

- On the negotiations, Biografo acquire the license to use the name of the manufacturer, becoming Texscan SA, and Antec SA after the acquisition in 1997.

- After 13 years of partnership with Antec, our company obtain the rights and permissions to represent Motorola BCS in Latin America and became Latin Broadband SA.
